Tomato and Basil Toasts

1 thin French bread about 16” long, cut on the diagonal into 3/4” slices
olive oil
1 lb sliced tomatoes
1/2 C black pepper
4 oz. Shredded mozzarella cheese
basil

-Heat oven broiler.
-Brush both sides on each slice of bread with olive oil.
-Place on stone and broil until very lightly toasted (5 minutes).
-Top with tomato slices, salt, pepper, and cheese.
-Broil until cheese melts.
-Top with basil.
